Dr. Orna Farrell is Assistant Professor and Programme Chair of the Open Education/DCU Connected at Dublin City University.

Working within DCU’s National Institute for Digital Learning Orna's research interests include online teaching and learning, higher education transitions, educational technology, eportfolio based learning. Orna is principal investigator and project leader of the National Forum funded project #Openteach: professional development for open online educators.

Abstract

Orna's guest talk gave an overview of approaches to and benefits of e-portfolio use in higher education. The presentation also explored how e-portfolios can be used to enhance the professional development process.
